Best Wishes for 2026

It’s a difficult time for Mount Sutro cloud forest, with the “Vegetation Management Plan” decimating its trees. We can only hope for the return, someday, of the lush “overgrown” forest that stabilizes the hillsides, slows water runoff, captures moisture from the fog, and provides habitat for birds from the tiny pygmy nuthatch to the great horned owl.

So here is our candle of hope for 2026, and greetings of the season to all our readers!

  1. John McSorley says:

We ALL knew the destruction of our urban forest was in order for UCSF PARNASSUS to expand the hospital.

No the forest will never come back! More humans will come until the planet is destroyed. You’d think this idiots had never seen any classic science fiction.
